Darris McNeely
Permanent board term
In addition to his wider duties with the United Church of God, An International Association, Darris McNeely pastors two congregations: United Church of God Indianapolis and United Church of God Fort Wayne.
After growing up in Cape Girardeau, Mo., he attended Ambassador College in Pasadena, Calif., graduating with a Bachelors degree in Theology in 1973. Upon graduation he married the former Debbie Detwiler and immediately took up their first field pastorate. Over the past 30 years he has served churches in North Carolina, Kentucky, Tennessee, and for the most recent 20+ years, in Indiana.
Mr. McNeely also serves as Managing Editor of the bimonthly World News & Prophecy magazine, published by UCGia. He recently passed along the direction of the annual week-long Camp Heritage, near Farmington, Pa., after a successful nine-year run of coordinating a staff of dozens of adults serving 170 campers ages 12 to 18.
He also is a Guest Instructor for the Cincinnati-based Ambassador Bible Center, Chairman of the UCGaia Prophecy Task Force, and is a presenter on the nationally viewed Beyond Today Television program.
The McNeelys and their two grown and married sons, Chris and Ryan (each with one grandchild for them to spoil!), all make their home in Indianapolis.
