Dennis Ulrey
2009-2010 term

Dennis was born in California where his parents moved to from Cincinnati after World War II. Being the only family out west, he, his twin brother, two sisters and parents moved to the Chicago area to be closer to relatives. Currently, Dennis travels back and forth between Chicago and North Webster, Ind., where he and his wife spend most of their weekends at their home on Webster Lake. One day, they hope to retire full time in North Webster.

Dennis has a varied career with a bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture, a master’s degree in management and organizational behavior and a Ph.D. in business administration. For more than 30 years he has worked in the public and private sectors in administration and management, investment planning, higher education, and park and recreation planning and design.

Dennis and his wife, Pam, have two adult children, Joe and Angela. He is active in the church as the choir director and as a speaker, and he enjoys playing the trumpet, golf, fishing and boating.
